Position Summary
A mid-level Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for supporting enterprise applications, analyzing system and business issues, documenting requirements, and assisting in system configuration and project execution. The role acts as a link between business users and IT, providing application support, incident resolution, functional analysis, testing, and customer communication for assigned systems. Operating with moderate independence, the Business Systems Analyst II escalates complex design, integration, or process decisions to senior analysts or management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users, functional leads, and IT team members to understand business needs and translate them into clear, documented requirements.
- Assist in documenting current and future business processes, system gaps, enhancements, test scenarios, and user acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate application functionality against business processes and escalate complex questions or issues as needed.
- Provide day-to-day application support, including incident resolution, problem diagnosis, system maintenance, and administration.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding system status, scheduled maintenance, downtime, and system updates.
- Support project activities such as testing, data validation, documentation, implementation, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Identify recurring system issues, user pain points, and process inefficiencies to recommend improvements.
- Use basic to intermediate SQL and reporting tools to research data issues and validate results during testing.
- Support configuration, troubleshooting, and integration of enterprise systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ERP platforms, and other enterprise applications.
- Assist with technical support, including setup, problem resolution, and system optimization related to supplier management and procurement processes.
- Participate in on-call support to address system failures or urgent issues impacting business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in business systems support, business analysis, or related IT roles.
- Working knowledge of database management, preferably Microsoft SQL.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications hosted on internal or enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Ability to collaborate with users and IT teams across different levels, functions, and locations.
- Availability to participate in on-call support for system issues.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, specifically within procurement and sourcing functions.
- Practical understanding of supply chain, purchasing, manufacturing, or planning operations.
Publishing Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00 hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
