Location: Tallahassee, FL | Hybrid; on-site availability required

Introduction:

Defined Software Development is connecting with experienced Cloud Migration Project Managers for current and upcoming consulting opportunities. This role leads the planning and delivery of application, data, and infrastructure migrations, coordinating technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain migration plans covering scope, schedules, dependencies, resources, and rollback strategies.

• Coordinate cloud migration workstreams and track progress against project milestones.

• Partner with architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to support successful transitions.

• Manage project risks, issues, change requests, and stakeholder communications.

• Coordinate cutover activities, readiness reviews, go-live communications, and contingency planning.

• Track budgets, resource schedules, and anticipated cloud spending during migration.

• Maintain project documentation, status reports, and lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3–5 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years supporting cloud or infrastructure projects.

• Experience delivering enterprise IT projects involving multiple teams and cross-departmental dependencies.

• Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud migration approaches.

• Experience coordinating migrations across multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.

• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.

• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Microsoft Planner.

• Project management certification such as PMP or Certified ScrumMaster.

• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, Terraform, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of networking, security, and data migration considerations.
