The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for efficient container stacking and organization. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
