Assistant Director, Career Services

Communitas, Inc. seeks a Career Services Assistant Director to support employment programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Based in Somerville, MA, this role helps lead person-centered career planning, vocational assessments, and job placement services. The Assistant Director will support staff, cultivate employer partnerships, monitor outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Responsibilities

• Assist in leading career and employment services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Conduct vocational assessments and develop individualized employment plans.
• Support and coach staff delivering job development and placement services.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners.
• Monitor participant progress, outcomes, and program quality.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, funder requirements, and regulations.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to support person-centered employment goals.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
