The Role

• Produce, maintain, and refine technical documentation, including reports, manuals, installation, operation, and maintenance guides.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and logisticians to gather technical details and translate them into clear, concise documents.
• Utilize word processing and publishing tools to create various materials such as memos, forms, and tables.
• Edit and reformat drafts to meet quality, style, and customer compliance requirements, including MIL-STD standards.
• Create pictorial and line-drawn instructions to enhance written materials and improve user comprehension.
• Coordinate the work of other writers when necessary to ensure a cohesive and polished final product.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in technical writing.
• Proficiency with technical writing tools and software packages.
• Familiarity with military system documentation standards, such as MIL-STD-38784 and MIL-DTL-81927.
• Proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, logisticians) to develop technical content.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to refine and edit technical information for clarity and accuracy.
