Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RDK Software Engineer with 4 5 years of software development experience to join our engineering team in Dallas, TX. The engineer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, stabilizing, and maintaining software components for embedded broadband products.

The role will focus on LED screen support, UI features, system stabilization, log system improvements, modem and system log collection, and remote access capabilities. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in C/C++, Embedded Linux, RDK-B, and 3GPP LTE/5G technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software features for embedded broadband products.
• Implement and maintain LED screen support and UI features.
• Improve system stability, reliability, and performance of embedded software components.
• Enhance and maintain log systems for effective system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Develop functionality for modem and system log collection.
• Implement and maintain remote access systems for modem and system diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, system issues, and stability problems.
• Develop and maintain software using C/C++.
• Work extensively with Embedded Linux environments.
• Develop and integrate features within the RDK-B platform.
• Work with broadband and networking technologies associated with LTE/5G and 3GPP standards.
• Analyze system logs and troubleshoot issues across modem and embedded system components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design, implement, test, and stabilize product features.
• Participate in software development, debugging, integration, and validation activities.
• Ensure software deliverables meet quality, performance, and reliability requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 4 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on programming experience in C/C++.
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux.
• Hands-on experience with RDK-B.
• Experience working with embedded systems and broadband products.
• Experience with 3GPP LTE/5G technologies.
• Experience developing and debugging embedded software.
• Experience working with system and modem logs.
• Experience with log collection, diagnostics, troubleshooting, or remote system access.
• Experience developing or enhancing embedded UI/LED screen functionality.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on software stabilization, defect resolution, and performance improvements.
• Strong understanding of embedded software development and integration processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on broadband gateways, modems, routers, or CPE devices.
• Experience working with RDK-based broadband products.
• Experience with modem diagnostics and remote troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of LTE/5G modem architecture and related 3GPP technologies.
• Experience working with embedded networking systems.
• Experience with software logging, diagnostics, and system monitoring.
• Experience working in a collaborative Agile software development environment.
