Senior Android Developer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Android Developer for a hybrid (3 days onsite per week) contract to hire opportunity with a Global Financial Institution located in San Francisco, CA.
This is a senior role focused on designing, developing, and prototyping native Android mobile applications for both internal and external use. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kotlin and Dagger 2.0, participate in the full application life-cycle from design to release, and contribute to developing automation scripts.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and prototype Android mobile applications for phones and tablets
• Participate in the full app life-cycle: develop automation scripts, test, and release to the app store
• Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates
• Write and maintain documentation for all features in development
• Ensure quality and performance of the application to specifications
• Identify potential problems and resolve application bottlenecks
• Fix application bugs before final release

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 5-7 years of experience as an app developer
• 5+ years of experience on Android Platforms, with development expertise in Kotlin and Dagger 2.0
• Must have development experience in Core Java
• Experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium
• Proficient in code versioning tools including Git and Bitbucket
• Knowledge of C-based libraries
• Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, and Camera APIs

Desired skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and unit tests
• Mobile test automation with Appium for Android and iOS platforms
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution

Pay range: $61.60 - $69.60 per hour
