The Role

• Operate heavy specialized equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load and unload shipping containers.
• Drive hostlers to strategically position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers efficiently and safely.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate container moves and daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
