About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help lead the implementation and operationalization of Alteryx Cloud within a large, highly regulated enterprise environment.
In this role, you will help drive the transition from Alteryx Server to Alteryx Cloud, partnering closely with Alteryx, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, risk, data, and other technology stakeholders.
You will take ownership of a complex cloud platform implementation already in progress, quickly assess the current state, identify outstanding technical and operational dependencies, and drive the program toward a secure, scalable, and supportable production environment.
The ideal candidate combines deep Alteryx platform administration experience with hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), VPC networking, cloud architecture, Python, Windows Server, and CI/CD. You should also have demonstrated experience leading enterprise cloud implementations or migrations from strategy through operational readiness.
This role requires both technical depth and strong stakeholder leadership. You should be comfortable operating independently, resolving ambiguity, influencing decisions, and moving complex initiatives forward with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities

• Lead and support the end-to-end implementation of Alteryx Cloud, including architecture, migration, integration, governance, security, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer.
• Drive the transition from Alteryx Server to Alteryx Cloud, building on work already underway and helping move the platform toward its desired future state.
• Assess the current implementation, including previous decisions, completed work, open issues, risks, dependencies, and required next steps.
• Partner directly with Alteryx and internal cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk, data, and operations teams to resolve technical and implementation challenges.
• Design and support cloud architecture using Google Cloud Platform, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networking.
• Configure and troubleshoot cloud networking, routing, firewall rules, DNS, connectivity, and secure communication between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Support platform integrations, APIs, enterprise data connectivity, identity management, authentication, SSO, SAML, OAuth, and role-based access controls.
• Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation, implementation and migration plans, governance standards, operational runbooks, and support models.
• Identify technical and organizational roadblocks, manage dependencies, and drive issues through resolution.
• Partner with risk and security stakeholders to ensure solutions meet enterprise governance, security, audit, and control requirements.
• Establish scalable platform administration, onboarding, governance, and operational processes.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to engineering, operations, and support teams.
• Communicate technical concepts, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Support Agile and/or Kanban delivery processes using Jira.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or enterprise technology implementation.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx, including Alteryx Server, Alteryx Designer, and/or Alteryx Cloud.
• Experience administering and supporting Alteryx Server in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Alteryx Cloud implementations, enterprise cloud migrations, or platform modernization initiatives.
• Experience leading complex technology implementations or migrations from planning and architecture through implementation and operational readiness.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud architecture concepts.
• Experience with Google Cloud VPC, cloud networking, routing, firewall rules, DNS, and secure connectivity.
• Experience implementing or supporting enterprise SaaS or cloud-based platforms.
• Experience with identity and access management technologies, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, authentication, and role-based access controls.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms through APIs, data connections, and related integration technologies.
• Experience with Python, scripting, CI/CD, and Windows Server.
• Experience creating technical architecture documentation, migration plans, governance frameworks, operational runbooks, and support documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical initiatives and solve complex problems with limited oversight.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working across infrastructure, security, risk, vendor, and business teams.

• Experience implementing or migrating from Alteryx Server to Alteryx Cloud.
• Experience working in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience navigating enterprise governance, cybersecurity, risk, audit, compliance, and change-management requirements.
• Experience working directly with software vendors and third-party implementation partners.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics, business intelligence, or data science platforms.
• Experience establishing platform governance, onboarding processes, operating models, and user enablement programs.
• Experience developing and delivering platform training, office hours, technical documentation, and adoption programs.
• Alteryx Server certification or comparable Alteryx platform expertise.

7. Regulated-industry experience, preferably within financial services.

Important: This is a platform implementation and technical leadership role, not primarily an Alteryx workflow-development position. Candidates whose Alteryx experience centers on platform administration, cloud migration, architecture, integration, governance, and operationalization will be the strongest fit.
