Director of Data Engineering & Strategy (Azure and Snowflake)

A rapidly growing healthcare services organization with a significant presence across Texas is seeking a Director of Data Engineering & Strategy to lead a major enterprise data modernization initiative. This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of a new cloud-based data warehouse while ensuring the stability and ongoing operations of existing data systems throughout the migration process.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data leader who combines strong technical expertise with strategic business acumen. The ideal candidate will bring experience building modern data platforms from the ground up, leading cross-functional teams, and partnering with business stakeholders to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights.
Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Management
• Experience leading enterprise data warehouse initiatives from strategy through implementation
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments
• Proven track record building data platforms or warehouses from scratch

Desired Skills & Experience

• Healthcare or multi-site services industry experience
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives
• Experience establishing data strategy, KPIs, and governance frameworks
• Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics platforms
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments
