Data Engineer - Java

Title: Data Engineer – Java
Location: Jersey City, NJ

Need EAD

Interview Process: 2 to 3 rounds of interview (Inperson required for second round)

Must Have: Java and Spring boot, public cloud (AWS), ECS, Lambda, Cassandra, Any OLAP Database.
Nice to Have: Basic Terraform experience. Some knowledge of Spark. Glue is highly desired
Job Description:

• Cloud backend engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within AWS
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) including Java, Python
• Expert level experience with data engineering technologies and tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Cassandra and ETL processes.
• Experience building services with Spring (Boot) and gRPC APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, Kubernetes, and containers
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Must have skills:

• Glue, S3, Lambda, Step function, ECS, Cassandra, Java, Python, Terraform.

Nice to have:

• AWS Solutions Architect Certification is a plus
