Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly / Production Support)

Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and production operations in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing processes while working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, ergonomics, and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing standards.
  • Develop assembly layouts, tooling, fixtures, and process controls.
  • Work with ERP/MES systems to support manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, Reliability, or Design Engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, databases, and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with MES and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Knowledge of assembly processes, shop floor documentation, and process controls.
  • Experience with smart tooling, automation, digital manufacturing, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of line balancing, workplace ergonomics, and visual management tools.
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.
Work Environment
  • 100% onsite role.
  • Primarily 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), with flexibility for overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
  • Significant time spent on the shop floor supporting production teams.
  • Must follow all required safety and PPE guidelines.
