MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hardware Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, integrating, and evaluating physical hardware components and server architectures to ensure peak operational availability.
  • Conducting diagnostic evaluations, preventative maintenance, and physical troubleshooting across enterprise IT and infrastructure systems.
  • Working with management, internal teams, and mission partners to define hardware specifications, system configurations, and capacity planning.
  • Maintaining system baselines, inventory tracking, and hardware configuration management items across local facilities.
  • Collaborating with systems and network engineers to optimize physical hardware performance, cabling layout, and environmental cooling requirements.
  • Recommending and implementing hardware upgrades, life-cycle replacements, and operational efficiency improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of hardware engineering experience.
    • OR an associates degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
    • OR a high school diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise hardware installation, rack fabrication, component integration, and system diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in evaluating hardware schematics, component level specifications, and technical architecture baselines.
  • Experience maintaining hardware inventory, serial tracking, and configuration management controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or vendor-specific hardware engineering accreditations.
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise technical environments.
  • Familiarity with power distribution, thermal monitoring, and environmental controls in data center environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering teams to drive infrastructure improvements.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must hold a current/active Secret clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
