The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (e.g., hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely and efficiently move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring timely freight movement.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and readiness.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and tasks effectively.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
