Job Description

A specialist civil engineering contractor focused on the maintenance and rehabilitation of water and wastewater networks is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Slough.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex underground infrastructure projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities for Project Manager:

  • Act as the main liaison between the customer and operations teams throughout project delivery
  • Manage project costs, revenue reporting, forecasting, and change management to ensure projects remain within budget
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor project and contractor schedules including programme preparation
  • Lead project pre-planning, resource forecasting, and inventory management
  • Manage NEC/JCT contract administration including contractual requirements, variations, and change management
  • Support the management of quality control, health and safety, and compliance across all projects
  • Review daily reports, site records, and project documentation
  • Review, approve, and submit vendor and customer invoices ensuring accuracy of project details, dates, rates, and costs
  • Ensure compliance with CDM requirements and environmental obligations throughout project delivery

Essential Requirements for Project Manager:

  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing CIPP, Manhole Coatings, and other trenchless rehabilitation projects
  • Strong project management skills with excellent time management and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Knowledge of NEC/JCT contract administration
  • CSCS card, SMSTS, and valid UK driving licence
  • Ability to travel for both short and long-term projects
