The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistical tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Open availability for shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a preference for 2nd shift (4:00 PM-12:00 AM) or Day shift (8:00 AM-4:00 PM).
