T26/T27- THEATRE ARTS TEACHER (Candidate Pool)

Posted to create a candidate pool for the 2026-27 School Year.

Qualifications:

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Must be endorsed in Theater.
• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Experience:

• Experience working with diverse student population
• Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge.
• Experience implementing best practices in Theater Instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community members
• Prepare theater students for in school and outside performance opportunities
• Flexible, dependable, and highly organized
• Desire to work with diverse community of learners
• Work effectively with fine arts team.
• Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge in technical theater helpful
• Stay current with arts related technology and best practices
• Must use best practices in maintaining theater practice and performance spaces

Salary:

• Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
