Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist with hands-on experience in Salesforce to support enterprise data migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in extracting, transforming, validating, and migrating large datasets into and out of Salesforce while ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, developers, and technical teams to deliver successful migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute end-to-end Salesforce data migration activities.
- Analyze source and target data models to define migration strategies.
- Extract, transform, cleanse, and load data using industry-standard ETL practices.
- Work with Salesforce Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, Salesforce APIs, or other integration tools to develop and manage data migration workflows.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation activities.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues before and after migration.
- Collaborate with business users, Salesforce administrators, developers, and technical teams to understand data requirements.
- Develop migration documentation, mapping specifications, and validation reports.
- Support testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment.
- Monitor migration performance and troubleshoot issues during implementation.
- Ensure Salesforce data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data migration, ETL, or data integration projects.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce data migration tools such as Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, Salesforce APIs, or ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, Talend, SSIS).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with ETL tools and data transformation processes.
- Understanding of Salesforce data model, standard and custom objects, relationships, and data governance best practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Data Architect are a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data transformation and automation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale Salesforce implementation or digital transformation projects.
