Plumber

VSF Rentals owns and manages a portfolio of residential rental properties. We keep our homes safe, comfortable, and well maintained for our residents. We're looking for a skilled, dependable Plumber to join our maintenance team and handle plumbing needs across our properties.

Position Summary

The Plumber installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems across VSF Rentals' properties. The role covers routine service calls, unit turnovers, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. You'll work independently in occupied homes, so both technical skill and a professional, resident-friendly approach matter.

• Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, and low water pressure, along with faulty fixtures in sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, and faucets.
• Install, repair, and replace water heaters, garbage disposals, supply lines, shut-off valves, and drain lines.
• Clear drain and sewer line blockages using snakes, augers, and other drain-cleaning equipment.
• Find hidden leaks and help reduce water damage, and coordinate with the maintenance team on any resulting drywall or flooring repairs.
• Complete plumbing work during unit turnovers so vacant units are rent-ready on schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to catch problems before they become emergencies.
• Respond to assigned work orders promptly, and document work performed, parts used, and time spent in our property management system.
• Take part in an on-call rotation for after-hours plumbing emergencies.
• Communicate professionally with residents, respect their homes and privacy, and leave work areas clean.
• Keep a stocked inventory of common parts, and recommend when repairs need an outside contractor or a larger replacement.
• Follow all applicable plumbing codes, safety standards, and company policies.

$25-$35/hr

• 3+ years of residential plumbing experience. Property management or multifamily experience is a plus.
• Journeyman plumber license preferred, or the ability to obtain one. [Adjust to your state's requirements.]
• Strong troubleshooting skills across supply, drain, waste, and vent systems.
• Working knowledge of gas and electric water heaters, including tankless units.
• A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Your own basic hand tools. The company provides specialty equipment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in crawl spaces, attics, and tight areas, and handle stairs and ladders.
• Comfort using a smartphone or tablet to receive and close out work orders.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
