Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide cross-team deployment and administrative support for services including systems integration. • Create and extend system configuration and automation tools • Participation in all security processes, including security patching and auditing, security remediation, and disaster recovery operations. • Identify, experiment with, and adapt technologies that can better serve the customer and its goals. • Participation in day-to-day process and service optimization, issue discovery and remediation, along with membership in a rotating on-call schedule. • Project analysis, requirements gathering, analysis of alternatives, testing, and deployment. • Author, collaborate on, and maintain project, systems, services, and process documentation. • Run monthly system reports and provide metrics • Work successfully with cross-functional teams and staff, to include configuration management and supply chain
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience: • Minimum 3 years’ proven work experience as a systems administrator working with Linux (Red Hat-based distributions preferred) and Windows OS • Practical experience in Python and one other scripting language, such as PowerShell or Bash • Familiar with the RMF process
Desired Skills and Experience: • Experience with storage administration • Knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto network devices • Experience with Linux and Windows in a secured environment • Experience with virtualization products • Experience with Amazon Web Services
Required Education/Certification: • Bachelors degree in information technology or related field and five (5) or more years of relevant experience; Masters and three (3) or more years of relevant experience. Will accept 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree • Must be compliant with DoD 8570-M requirements (Security+ to start)
