Part-time Care Assistant in Bathgate

THIS ROLE IS UK BASED AND THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK WILL NEED TO BE ESTABLISHED AS PART OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS.

Here at Home Instead West Lothian, we are looking to grow our team of Care Assistants, with a variety of hours and different contract options available.

At Home Instead, we provide award-winning home care of the highest quality. Care Assistants are known as Care Professionals within Home Instead and the care and support our Care Professionals deliver is designed to allow our clients to live independently in their own homes.

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Professional and we encourage people from different sectors to apply, whether that is: retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service, delivery driving. We provide FULL training from the start.

What does being a Care Professional involve?

• Minimum 1-hour visits
• Introductions to all new clients
• Care Professionals matched to clients based on personality, background, hobbies and interests.
• Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
• Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework
• Accompanying to appointments or shopping
• Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent
• Building strong professional relationships
• Variety on non-medical services to help the client stay as independent as possible in their own home

A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred, as some of our clients require accompanying to Doctor's visits and other appointments.
