Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Full time position will perform analysis in support of integrated visiting vehicle requirements associated with ISS dynamic operations, energy balance analysis & power transfer coordination as well as various ISS end-of-life special studies. In this multi-disciplinary role, you will develop skills in systems integration involving several international/commercial partners while also being called on to perform team mentoring, management briefings and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical and operational knowledge of ISS systems architecture, structures, flight schedules and environments
- Understanding of LEO orbital dynamics/conditions, spacecraft navigation/control and docking/berthing limits
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a proactive team environment
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point) Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills Experience using visual basic or python for engineering analysis
- Previous NASA support experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with NASA flight rules, NASA hazard/safety databases Experience with JAMA/ASDB applications
- Understanding of visiting vehicle and ISS thruster hardware/software capabilities
- Experience analyzing space for jettison/deployment events, visiting vehicle traffic and reboost operations
- Experience integrating ISS visiting vehicles requirements for trajectory, GNC and propulsion in support of rendezvous and departure operations
- Master's degree in aerospace related engineering
Education:
- Bachelor's degree of aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering
