Job Description

About the Role

This is a hands-on engineering role at a seed-stage tax advisory technology company that acquires and modernises German tax firms. You will work in tight collaboration with tax advisors, translating their day-to-day workflows into production software, and iterating quickly until it genuinely solves their problems. Part engineer, part product thinker, this role sits at the heart of how the company delivers value to its advisory teams.

What You'll Do

  • Build MVPs in close collaboration with tax advisors and other non-technical domain experts.

  • Translate complex advisory workflows into clear software requirements and working implementations.

  • Iterate rapidly based on direct user feedback from practitioners in the field.

  • Own features end-to-end, from initial scoping and requirements gathering through to deployment.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying production full-stack software.

  • Fluent German language proficiency, both spoken and written (required).

  • Strong proficiency with NestJS or an equivalent backend framework (Node.js, Express, or similar).

  • Strong proficiency with React or an equivalent modern frontend framework.

  • Experience with full-stack TypeScript development.

  • Proven ability to build MVPs and iterate quickly based on real user feedback.

  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to gather and shape requirements.

  • A code-first mindset, no low-code or no-code tools.

  • University degree.

  • Background in financial services, tax, accounting, or a regulated advisory domain is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with German business processes or regulatory environments is a strong plus.

  • Experience working in a startup or early-stage environment is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: 60,000 to 120,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
