Warehouse Packer/Receiver (1st and 3rd Shift)(On-Site)

Please note this position is a 3 Month contract position, and will be located in Memphis, TN.

Please note this position requires previous distribution/warehouse experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred/required

· Previous distribution experience is required

· Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred

· Previous experience in a cold chain environment is a plus

· Basic computer and math skills are required

· Experience using RF scanners is preferred

· Experience with forklift/PIT equipment is required

· Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to work in ambient, cooler, and freezer environments

· Must be willing to work overtime with little or same-day notice

· Must be willing to work rotating shifts or different departments based on business needs

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform various warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of the Distribution Center, including receiving, sorting, stacking, picking, packing, and shipping orders.

Key Responsibilities:

o Use a forklift/PIT to unload, load, break down freight, receive, and stock materials.

o Use an RF scanner to pick orders and a computer to pack or audit orders.

o Verify products for the correct item/code, lot number, and quantities, and identify damages.

o Work with products stored in ambient, cooler, and freezer locations.

o Operate specialized warehouse equipment and complete daily routine inspections.

o Report any unsafe conditions.

o Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and all safety rules.

o Perform housekeeping in assigned areas and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

o Maintain regular attendance.

o Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is a warehouse/distribution center and may include extreme cold temperatures below -24 degrees, biological hazards including blood or blood products, moving machinery, and confined spaces. PPE is required, including gloves, safety shoes, cold-weather gear, body harness, and safety vest.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

o Medium to heavy lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

o Sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, pushing, and pulling

o Bending at the waist and neck and reaching

o Repetitive hand movements and power grasping

o Balancing and maintaining equilibrium

o Close and intermediate visual acuity for inspecting products, operating equipment, and working with computer terminals

COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION:

o Work with internal partners including Customer Service, Planning, Leadership, and North America Supply Chain.

o Work with external partners including Customers, Carriers, Freight Forwarders, and Suppliers.

SHIFT INFORMATION:

· Multiple shifts may be available based on business needs.

· Current schedules include 6:00 PM–2:30 AM, Sunday–Thursday, and 2:00 AM–10:30 AM, Monday–Friday.

· Shift rotations may be required based on business needs.

· Overtime may be required with little or same-day notice.
