DevOps Engineer £455 - £500 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) Glasgow, Scotland (Onsite Monday - Friday) 24-Week Contract The Opportunity We're recruiting for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile technology programme with one of the world's leading financial services organisations.

This is an on site role Monday - Friday in Glasgow, Scotland. You'll become part of a fast-paced Software Engineering team, working within a critical delivery unit responsible for driving infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives, and cloud-based deployment capabilities across enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities As a DevOps Engineer, you will:

Build, maintain and enhance development tools, platforms and infrastructure.<br />Design, develop and support CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.<br />Drive infrastructure automation initiatives to improve deployment efficiency, consistency and reliability.<br />Work closely with engineering, operations and security teams to resolve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges.<br />Monitor system performance and proactively implement improvements to enhance scalability, resilience and security.<br />Support cloud-based environments and containerised applications.<br />Contribute to infrastructure design decisions, technical roadmaps and deployment strategies.<br />Provide technical leadership and guidance, sharing DevOps best practices across teams.<br />Ensure environments remain secure, compliant and operationally resilient.<br />Support incident management activities and assist with root cause analysis and service restoration.

Required Skills &amp; Experience Essential Strong experience working as a DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments.<br />Advanced experience in Infrastructure Service Incident Management.<br />Proven expertise designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.<br />Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment tooling.<br />Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.<br />Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies.<br />Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production and infrastructure issues.<br />Experience collaborating across multiple technical teams and stakeholders.<br />Strong understanding of security principles within DevOps environments.

Desirable Experience with SRE Observability tools and practices.<br />Knowledge of Configuration &amp; Release Management processes.<br />Experience with Cloud Automation DevOps frameworks and tooling.<br />Previous experience within financial services or other highly regulated environments
