HR Manager / HR Consultant - Part-Time, Remote
Six-month fixed-term contract Two to three days per week Fully remote
Part-time HR opportunities like this don't come around very often.
We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded HR Manager or HR Consultant on an initial six-month fixed-term contract. Working remotely for two to three days per week, you'll take ownership of a varied HR remit supporting employees across both the UK and US.
This is a busy, hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in a proactive and varied role. You'll be equally comfortable advising on employment matters, managing day-to-day HR operations and making sure that the systems, processes and employee experience all run smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing practical HR advice and general support across the business
- Managing payroll processes for the UK & US and benefits administration
- Recruitment
- Coordinating seamless onboarding and offboarding
- Managing HR systems, employee records and online portals
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Creating and refining standard operating procedures
- Supporting and delivering employee and management training
- Managing employee relations cases confidently and sensitively
- Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with UK and US employment requirements
- Supporting general office and facilities management when required
You'll be an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, approachable style.
You will need:
- Proven HR management or consulting experience
- Working knowledge and practical experience of both UK and US employment law (for US law a basic knowledge is fine)
- Experience managing a broad, operational HR workload
- Confidence handling employee relations matters
- Experience of payroll, benefits, recruitment and employee lifecycle administration
- Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and support wherever needed
