Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner – Securities Finance & Collateral Management

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join a Markets Operations Excellence team supporting a large-scale collateral management transformation initiative. This role will partner closely with Operations, Technology, Product, and Risk teams to drive business analysis, process improvement, and delivery of strategic platform enhancements within a Securities Finance environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Agency Lending, Securities Lending, Securities Finance, and Collateral Management, combined with the ability to gather requirements, document processes, coordinate testing activities, and drive solutions from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and functional specifications.
• Create current-state and future-state process flows and operational workflows.
• Act as the primary liaison between Operations and Technology teams.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to define business solutions.
• Support strategic transformation and platform modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate project activities, timelines, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
• Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Product, and Technology teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Develop and execute UAT plans, test scenarios, and defect management processes.
• Track project milestones and ensure readiness for implementation and production deployment.
• Support release planning, go-live activities, operational readiness, and post-implementation validation.
• Prepare status reports and communicate progress to senior stakeholders.
• Promote best practices, process standardization, and knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience within Financial Services, Asset Servicing, Capital Markets, Securities Finance, or Investment Operations.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Agency Lending
  • Securities Lending
  • Securities Finance
  • Stock Borrowing & Lending (SBL)
  • Collateral Management
• Experience supporting:
  • Tri-Party Collateral
  • Bilateral Cash Collateral
  • Bilateral Non-Cash Collateral
  • Collateral Allocation and Optimization
  • Margin and Exposure Management
• Proven Business Analysis and Product Delivery experience.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills.
• Experience working directly with Operations and Technology teams.
• Hands-on experience with UAT, testing coordination, defect management, and implementation support.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to influence discussions, facilitate decision-making, and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within custody banks, securities services, broker dealers, investment banks, or asset managers.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Familiarity with collateral management, securities lending, or capital markets platforms.
• Certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, CSPO, PSPO, PRINCE2, Lean, or Six Sigma.
