Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Tableau BI Data Analyst to join the data and analytics team supporting business intelligence initiatives within the financial services and wealth management domain. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Tableau, SQL, data analysis, dashboard development, data visualization, and business requirements gathering.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, product teams, and technology teams to transform complex financial and business data into actionable insights and intuitive BI dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business and operational stakeholders.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business insights.
• Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions, dashboards, and analytical reports.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Create Tableau data models, calculated fields, parameters, filters, sets, groups, and advanced visualizations.
• Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, usability, scalability, and data accuracy.
• Work with data engineering teams to understand data pipelines, data warehouses, ETL processes, and source systems.
• Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with business users to define KPIs, metrics, reporting requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve data-driven decision making.
• Troubleshoot Tableau reports, data extracts, SQL queries, and dashboard performance issues.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud activities including publishing, scheduling, permissions, refreshes, and user access.
• Document data sources, business logic, dashboard specifications, and reporting processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 5–8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or BI Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of data visualization and dashboard design principles.
• Experience working with relational databases and enterprise data warehouses.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical BI solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
