Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Surveyor to join our client's team. The successful candidate will lead land surveying operations to establish precise property boundaries, research historical records, and prepare legally compliant maps and technical reports. As a licensed professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, legal compliance, and seamless execution for diverse commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct precise field surveys, boundary determinations, and topographic mapping.
Research and analyze deeds, legal descriptions, historical records, and prior survey data.
Utilize Civil 3D software and advanced geomatics technology to process field data and draft survey plans.
Sign and seal completed survey plans to certify accuracy and strict adherence to legal standards.
Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to integrate survey data into comprehensive design packages.
Maintain organized, legally sound documentation of all survey activities, calculations, and final findings.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Licensure: Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, field data collection hardware, and modern surveying instrumentation.
Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of local zoning laws, boundary law, legal descriptions, and regulatory standards for land surveying.
Competencies: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to mathematical detail, and the ability to work independently or lead field crews.
Travel & Logistics: Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to local project sites throughout the region.
