IT Systems Analyst

Company: Boeing Australia Holdings Pty Ltd - Brisbane. This role operates in a hybrid capacity and focuses on the optimisation, maintenance, and support of our Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) Finance modules. You will act as the vital link between the Finance department and the IT organisation, ensuring optimal performance of financial systems, supporting end users through complex technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement through system enhancements and automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 - 3 functional and technical support for Oracle EBS Finance modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management) and troubleshoot system issues, including data discrepancies, interface failures, and user access problems.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for new features or system changes, translating complex business needs into technical specifications for developers or configuration changes.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual financial processes to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
• Assist in the configuration and testing of new Oracle EBS modules or patches, lead or participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop comprehensive test scripts, and manage defect remediation.
• Support the integration of Oracle EBS with third party financial tools, banking interfaces, or internal proprietary systems.
• Develop and maintain high quality documentation, including system configuration guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical design documents, user manuals, and deliver training sessions to end users.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience in a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst role, specifically supporting Oracle E Business Suite.
• Deep understanding of core financial processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report).
• Hands on experience with Oracle EBS Finance module configuration.
• Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL for data querying and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data integration between Oracle and external systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical finance professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
• Experience with Oracle E Business Suite R2.
• Experience with Oracle Workflow, Oracle Reports, or BI Publisher.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP migration/transition strategies.
• Professional certification in Oracle EBS or a relevant Finance/Accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA).
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
