Job description

Title: Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Terms: 12+ Months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise, experience building scalable applications, and familiarity with security-focused integrations, APIs, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to implement secure application architectures.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
  • Work in an Agile development environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails, REST APIs, and JSON.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of network security, Zero Trust architecture, and micro-segmentation.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices.
