Purpose of the Role
The Business Analyst supports the Collections and Remarketing teams, including:
This role is responsible for collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders, developing recurring and ad hoc reporting, analyzing business results, identifying trends, performing root cause analysis, validating data, and driving continuous reporting improvements.
Work Requirement: Required to work 4 days per week in the office.

Job Description:
Business Analyst - Collections & Remarketing
4 days onsite
Purpose of the Role
The Business Analyst supports the Collections and Remarketing teams, including:
- Active Collections
- Recovery
- Exceptions
- Strategy
- Soft Collections
This role is responsible for collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders, developing recurring and ad hoc reporting, analyzing business results, identifying trends, performing root cause analysis, validating data, and driving continuous reporting improvements.
Work Requirement: Required to work 4 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
- Collaborate with leadership, business stakeholders, and data stakeholders.
- Create recurring production reports and ad hoc reports.
- Analyze business results to identify trends and potential correlated issues.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and eliminate reporting defects.
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct datamart testing and validation.
1.1 Report Review & Accuracy
- Review internally produced reports for accuracy and resolve issues as needed.
- Publish reports to stakeholders according to established SLAs and business requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to report accuracy and data integrity.
2.1 Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine report requirements, including:
- Purpose
- Scope
- Related business details
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including:
- Dimensions/Categories
- Filters
- Fields
- Calculations
- Metrics
- Layout
- Final deliverable format
- Maintain internal processes and key departmental information, including:
- Department roster history
- Vendor KPIs
- Dialer metrics
- Other critical business reporting data
3.1 Reporting Requests
- Assess customer requests and provide ad hoc reporting support.
- Develop recurring reports in a timely manner.
- Coordinate priorities with stakeholders and the BA Supervisor.
- Attend project meetings to provide:
- Analysis
- Business insights
- Technical recommendations
- Other relevant information as required
4.1 Business Partnership
- Act as a consultant to business partners by providing:
- Trend analysis
- Exception analysis
- Identification of potential correlated causes
- Recommended solutions
- Identify opportunities through:
- Process mapping
- Data analysis
- Reduce or eliminate redundant reporting processes and products.
- Reduce manually generated reports through automation using corporate tools such as:
- SAS
- Cognos
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Increase efficiency (run time) of standard reports.
- Enhance reporting visualizations where appropriate.
- Recreate reports in more suitable reporting tools.
- Regularly review reports for:
- Usage
- Format
- Accuracy
- Applicability
- Act as a consultant to business partners by providing trend and exception analysis and identifying possible correlated causes and solutions.
- Identify key areas of opportunity through process mapping or data analysis to reduce or eliminate redundant reporting processes/products.
- Reduce manually generated reports through automation using:
