Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to support utility industry initiatives, with a strong focus on NERC-compliant environments, requirements management, and Azure DevOps (ADO). The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams, ensuring business needs are effectively translated into functional and technical requirements. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive complex projects and support regulatory and operational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements.
• Lead requirements elicitation sessions through interviews, workshops, surveys, document analysis, and stakeholder meetings.
• Create and maintain user stories, requirements documentation, and traceability within Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Support utility industry projects, including environments governed by NERC compliance and documentation standards.
• Analyze business processes, workflows, and operational procedures to identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements for development and testing teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and business users to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Facilitate requirement reviews, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder sign-offs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while managing multiple priorities.

 

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of Business Analysis experience in IT environments.
• Experience supporting Utilities industry projects.
• Strong knowledge of NERC documentation and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements management and tracking.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead discussions, workshops, and cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or Scrum-related certifications.
• Experience supporting enterprise software development and modernization initiatives.
