Job Description

PROJECT PLANNER – M&E / CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE


  • Maidenhead-based
  • Travel across Slough, Hayes and London
  • Occasional travel to the Netherlands
  • Ongoing contract (£600 per day | Outside IR35)
  • M&E / Data Centres / Critical Infrastructure


We’re currently looking for an experienced Project Planner to join a growing project team delivering large-scale, fast-track M&E and critical infrastructure projects .


Based from the Maidenhead HQ , you’ll work closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, consultants and clients to develop and manage detailed project programmes, monitor progress and identify risks or delays that could impact delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed Level 4 project programmes
  • Manage cost-loaded and labour-loaded programmes
  • Monitor site progress and update project schedules
  • Review and integrate subcontractor programmes
  • Produce weekly lookaheads and progress reports
  • Analyse critical path, dependencies, milestones and programme risks
  • Identify slippage and develop recovery plans
  • Support claims, extensions of time and commercial applications
  • Attend planning, progress and coordination meetings
  • Track commissioning activities and ensure they align with the overall programme
  • Work closely with delivery teams to maintain accurate and achievable schedules


About You:

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 4–5+ years’ planning experience within construction, engineering or M&E
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar
  • Experience developing detailed construction programmes, ideally Level 4
  • Good understanding of M&E construction and project delivery
  • Experience on large-scale, fast-track projects
  • Strong knowledge of programme logic and critical path analysis
  • Experience reviewing and managing subcontractor programmes
  • Strong progress reporting and programme analysis skills
  • Ability to support commercial teams with programme impacts and claims


Experience within Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor, Critical Infrastructure, Power/Emergency Power or major M&E construction would be highly advantageous.
