The Opportunity

Are you a Data Analyst with strong Power BI skills who enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights?

We're looking for a hands-on Data Analyst to join a busy Purchasing team, helping improve reporting, automate processes and give stakeholders better visibility of business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building interactive dashboards, improving existing reports and finding smarter ways to present data. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to develop reporting solutions that support purchasing decisions, operational performance and continuous improvement.

Power BI and Power Query are the key skills for this role. You don't need to be a data engineering specialist or have previous procurement experience - we're looking for someone who can work with data, build effective reporting solutions and communicate insights clearly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Use Power Query to transform, cleanse and manipulate data from multiple sources.
  • Maintain existing dashboards, troubleshoot issues and improve reporting functionality.
  • Build new reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Support reporting automation, reducing manual processes and enabling users to access data independently.
  • Analyse purchasing and operational KPIs, including cost, quality, delivery and supplier performance.
  • Work with data from systems such as Oracle, Snowflake and SQL databases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and present findings clearly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency and business processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong Power BI experience, particularly dashboard development and reporting.
  • Good knowledge of Power Query and data transformation.
  • Experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to understand business requirements and turn them into practical reporting solutions.
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders.

Interested?

If you're a Data Analyst with strong Power BI and Power Query skills and are available for a contract based in Desford, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV as soon as possible. The deadline for CV submissions is Thursday 29th October at 9:00 AM
