About the Role
Lead a hands-on engineering team building a context platform for an AI-powered analytics workspace. The platform helps users understand how AI agents work with their data, diagnose quality issues, and improve the business context that supports better outcomes.
What You'll Do
Lead the team responsible for building and improving the context platform.
Set technical direction, review designs, and contribute directly to engineering work.
Manage and support engineers, setting a high bar while helping them do their best work.
Recruit and develop strong engineering talent.
Help address challenges in evaluating agent reasoning, managing business context, and combining human feedback with automated improvement.
What We're Looking For
At least 6 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including 2 or more years as an engineering manager.
Experience managing teams of 3 to 15 engineers.
Recent, hands-on experience building an agentic or AI-native product.
Proficiency in TypeScript; experience with React, PostgreSQL, and Python is valuable.
Background leading engineering for a technical product, ideally in a high-growth startup or a product-oriented data, analytics, or developer tools environment.
Strong technical fundamentals, demonstrated through a computer science or equivalent technical degree or comparable experience.
Experience working in an office at least twice weekly and a track record of sustained tenure in engineering roles.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $221,000 to $295,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. Equity details were not provided.
Location
Hybrid, based in San Francisco, California. The team works in the office twice a week.
