Job Description

Job DescriptionThis highly visible Corporate Tax Manager role offers the chance to help shape the tax function, work closely with senior leadership, and support the company’s future growth.\n\nThe position offers a 50/50 hybrid schedule, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\n Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process, including current and deferred tax calculations, tax account reconciliations, and ASC 740 support.\n Manage federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including returns, extensions, estimated payments, and related filings.\n Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including nexus analysis, exemption certificates, taxability reviews, and audit support.\n Manage property tax filings, assessments, payments, appeals, and related reporting.\n Identify, calculate, document, and track available Colorado tax credits and incentives, including employment, investment, training, and economic development programs.\n Partner with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Operations, and external advisors to maximize available credits and ensure appropriate documentation.\n Support tax planning initiatives associated with the company’s continued growth and public-company readiness.\n Assist with tax-related due diligence, documentation, controls, and reporting associated with the SPAC transaction and transition to a public company environment.\n Manage tax-related general ledger accounts, accruals, reconciliations, and cash tax forecasting.\n Research changes in federal, state, and local tax regulations and evaluate their impact on the business.\n Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and taxing authorities.\n Improve tax processes, documentation, controls, and reporting as the organization continues to scale.\n\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.\n 5+ years of progressive corporate tax or public accounting experience.\n Strong experience with income tax provision and ASC 740.\n Experience with sales and use tax and property tax.\n Knowledge of state and local taxation, with Colorado tax credit and incentive experience strongly preferred.\n Strong technical tax research and analytical skills.\n Ability to operate effectively in a growing, fast-paced environment.\n Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with senior leadership and operational teams.\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n CPA or advanced degree in taxation.\n Combination of public accounting and corporate tax experience.\n Experience with Colorado employment, investment, enterprise zone, or other economic development credits.\n Multi-state tax experience.\n Experience with tax provision and compliance software.\n Prior experience with a public company, IPO, SPAC, or other public-company readiness initiative is a plus.\n\n\nWhy This Role\nThis is an opportunity to step into a broad, high-impact tax role at a pivotal point in the company’s growth.
