Title: CAE Engineer L2 – Automotive Durability
Location: Raymond, OH (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Mandatory Software: ANSA and Abaqus

Job Description

Client is looking for a CAE Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in ANSA and Abaqus to support automotive durability, fatigue, and strength analysis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Construct high-quality finite element (FE) meshes and models for complete vehicle bodies, closures, chassis subsystems, and components.
  • Conduct nonlinear Abaqus FE simulations for fatigue and strength evaluation.
  • Build and prepare FE models using ANSA. HyperMesh experience may also be relevant, but ANSA is mandatory.
  • Work on Body-in-White (BIW), closures, and suspension systems.
  • Perform nCode fatigue post-processing to evaluate fatigue life.
  • Present and document engineering conclusions clearly and confidently.
  • Lead research activities to develop new CAE methods and improve existing methods.
  • Support test validation and investigations related to FE models and test requirements.
  • Investigate performance concerns identified during CAE validation, develop countermeasure plans, and collaborate with design teams on implementation.


Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with ANSA and Abaqus.
  • FE model building and meshing.
  • Nonlinear finite element analysis.
  • Automotive durability, fatigue, and strength evaluation.
  • Automotive experience, preferably in BIW, closures, chassis, or suspension.


Preferred Skills

  • nCode fatigue post-processing.
  • Nastran and/or HyperMesh.
  • Test validation and correlation.
  • Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
