SENIOR TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST

POSITION SUMMARY
Company is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will work closely with business partners to align technological solutions with business needs. You will become well-versed in Company’s DH (Data Hub), our internal data and application platform, and help match its features and capabilities to evolving business and project needs. Based on a deep understanding of our operations, you will define the scope of technical projects and improvements to our systems. As the Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will work in an agile development environment, managing the backlog, developing key artifacts, and communicating with all stakeholders to help ensure smooth operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration - Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize, coordinate, and execute projects and enhancements. Develop a deep understanding of Company’s DH (Data Hub) platform to ensure its features and applications align with stakeholder needs and project goals. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure data requirements are captured and delivered effectively.
Requirements - Lead detailed requirements gathering to understand business processes and help determine if and how system enhancements may improve outcomes. Own functional tasks and deliverables, including process definitions and flows, requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional design, testing, training, and report specifications.
Project Management - Work directly with development teams (internal and external) to accurately convey business requirements, clarifying as needed and maintaining requirements documentation and traceabilityPr. Understand and track risks, assumptions, and dependencies associated with assigned projects. Effectively resolve conflicts, remove roadblocks, and address concerns as they arise. Maintain project documentation and contribute to end-user and system documentation.
Coordination - Coordinate and facilitate meetings to prepare Epics, Features, and User Story documentation, as well as other project-related artifacts in Azure DevOps. Organize and participate in knowledge sharing, code review, and training. Follow change management procedures to support smooth deployments.
Testing - Build, review, and own test plans and test cases; facilitate the gathering of test data. Test and evaluate systems to verify changes work properly and meet business requirements; Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to resolve or diagnose defects. Facilitate user acceptance testing and release approval.
Team - Foster strong relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, active listening, and collaborative problem-solving. Understand and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including security, confidentiality, and privacy requirements, especially protection of Protected Health Information.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of demonstrated work experience as a Senior Business Analyst in an Agile development environment. Azure DevOps experience, agile certification (s) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong SQL and data-analysis skills, with experience using Power BI, Excel, process-mapping tools, and other analytical or visualization tools.
- Strong research, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple initiatives, making sound decisions in ambiguous or difficult situations.
- Action-oriented and able to balance multiple projects without compromising quality of work.
- Excellent project management and time management skills. Experience with project planning tools (MS Project preferred).
- Self-motivated, organized, and independent worker who proactively follows up and delivers results without close management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication. Works collaboratively with all levels of staff, adapting responses to different audiences (technical and non-technical).
