DevOps Engineer (Cleanroom Ransomware recovery) - SGI

DevOps Engineer – Contract - Financial Services £500–600/day | Inside IR35 | 12 months | Hybrid London
We’re working with a major European bank looking for a Cleanroom DevOps Engineer to join their Engineering & Enterprise Technology team.
This is a key role within their ransomware recovery environment, helping design, build, automate and maintain a secure infrastructure capable of recovering critical systems following a ransomware attack.
The Role You’ll be working on a rapidly developing environment designed to recover affected systems into secure, ring-fenced environments, where they can be analyzed, cleansed and restored to production.
The role will involve:

• Supporting, designing and implementing infrastructure components
• Building and maintaining a largely autonomous ransomware recovery environment
• Automating and testing infrastructure and engineering applications
• Protecting and recovering application data and infrastructure configuration
• Supporting compute, storage, backup, archive and converged environments
• Improving infrastructure security, recovery processes and automation
• Managing incidents, problems and changes within the Cleanroom
• Ensuring systems meet required security standards
• Working with a small, international team of infrastructure and security specialists

What We’re Looking For You’ll need to be a versatile, experienced T-shaped DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer who is comfortable working across multiple technologies and operating autonomously.
Essential:

• Strong experience with VMware Aria Automation
• Expert-level JavaScript skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Terraform
• Familiarity with Ansible
• Background in infrastructure automation, security, recovery or resilience
• Experience working with large-scale infrastructure environments
