The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and safety.
• Maneuver containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Organize and stack containers by operating various handling equipment.
• Conduct essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety.
• Coordinate tasks with yard personnel and supervisors for efficient workflow.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift schedules, based on union seniority.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
