Job Description

Salesforce Technical Architect (Remote)

Type: Contract
What You'll Do:
  - Work on end-to-end solution architecture for the client's Salesforce Revenue Cloud (CPQ, Billing, Advanced Approvals) and Sales Cloud implementation.
  - Work directly with business stakeholders (Sales, RevOps, Finance) to translate quoting, pricing, contracts, renewals, and revenue recognition needs into scalable Salesforce architecture.
  - Write and review Apex, LWC, Flow, and integration code alongside the client's and delivery team's developers.
  - Design data models, sharing/security architecture, and integrations connecting Salesforce to the client's ERP, billing, and finance systems.
  - Establish technical governance: architecture decision records, design reviews, coding standards, and CI/CD/DevOps practices (SFDX, version control, sandbox/environment strategy).
  - Partner with product/delivery leads on roadmap planning, backlog grooming, and technical prioritization.
  - Conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor developers on the team.
  - Track Salesforce release cycles and Revenue Cloud roadmap changes; advise on technical debt and upgrade paths.
  - Troubleshoot complex production issues and performance bottlenecks within the client's environment.
What You Bring:
  - 8+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem, with 3+ years in a dedicated architect role.
  - Deep, hands-on expertise in Salesforce Revenue Cloud (CPQ and Billing), including product configuration, pricing/discounting models, quote-to-cash processes, and Billing/Invoicing.
  - Strong Sales Cloud expertise in territory management, forecasting, opportunity/lead lifecycle, and standard sales process automation.
  - Proficient hands-on coding skills: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flow/Process Automation, and integration development (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware such as MuleSoft/Boomi).
  - Solid grounding in data architecture, security model design (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and integration patterns.
  - Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling (SFDX, Gearset/Copado/Flosum, Git-based CI/CD).
  - Salesforce certifications required: Application Architect or System Architect (or actively pursuing), plus CPQ Specialist; Sales Cloud Consultant preferred.
  - Comfortable operating as an embedded team member within a client organization with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  - Self-directed and capable of driving architecture decisions within a client's context.
Nice to Have:
  - Experience with Revenue Cloud on the new Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) platform.
  - Background in industries with complex pricing/subscription models (SaaS, manufacturing, telecom).
  - Experience with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) or additional clouds (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
