Job description

Baer is looking for SAP ABAP Developer for a 6+ month remote project.

Title: SAP ABAP Developer
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: All-Inclusive Alignment: W2 or C2C Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, enhancements, interfaces, reports, and conversions.
  • Develop and implement BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework solutions to extend standard SAP functionality.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate functional specifications into technical designs and development solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, ALV reports, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing ABAP code to improve application performance and reliability.
  • Support SAP system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and production issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, perform unit testing, and support integration testing and deployment activities.
  • Ensure development follows SAP best practices, coding standards, and change management processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing BADIs and User Exits.
  • Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).
  • Experience with SAP Enhancement Framework, Customer Exits, and enhancement implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP Dictionary, function modules, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
  • Experience developing custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Ability to independently analyze technical requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional SAP teams.
