Data Governance Manager

Position: Data Governance manager
Location: 100% REMOTE ship and a bachelor's degree are required.

Project Description: Work on a just-renewed multi-year project with multiple workstreams with an established account team. Both of these resources will lead the Data Governance workstream, supporting the FTA Chief Data Officer (CDO), Deputy CDO, and supporting analysts and FTA data working groups with data governance strategic planning, Data Governance Board (DGB) monthly preparation and facilitation, data catalog planning and implementation, M-25-05 compliance, and data interoperability initiatives at FTA.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Data Governance Lead (Manager)
Description: Drives governance strategy by supporting board operations, directive and guidance formulation, and enterprise adoption. Establishes foundational data governance frameworks aligned with DOT governance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• 5+ years of experience advising executive leadership and supporting enterprise data governance initiatives in government organizations.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating Data Governance Boards or Councils, drafting governing charters, and shaping enterprise governance roadmaps.
• Proven track record in designing and tailoring foundational data governance, data quality, and stewardship frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
• Strong background in stakeholder alignment, executive communication, and change management strategies to drive organizational adoption of governance practices.

Necessary skills: Collibra, Databricks, Google platform, public sector organization experience
5+ YOE, Bachelor's degree,
