The Role
- Research, develop, and produce high-quality technical documentation, guidance materials, and reports related to aviation systems, policies, and operational concepts.
- Translate complex technical and operational information into clear, accurate, and accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and program staff to gather and verify technical information.
- Draft, revise, and edit manuals, specifications, reports, and presentation materials, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Apply expertise in aviation terminology and operations to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Manage multiple documentation projects concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and adherence to schedules.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, with 5+ years of technical writing/editing experience; or High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience producing or editing aviation regulatory documentation or related technical publications in aviation or aerospace.
- Proven ability to interpret and synthesize complex technical data into clear and concise documentation.
- Demonstrated experience developing content for federal aviation programs.
- Strong command of grammar, style, and technical writing conventions, with familiarity with government style guides.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and documentation/content management tools.
