The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and safety.
• Drive hostler trucks to position containers and chassis efficiently within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre-and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistical tasks and container movements.
• Uphold safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and keen attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
