Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a clilent in Newport Beach, CA that is seeking a Business Analyst.

Summary

This role sits between the companies alternatives business teams and technology organization, helping turn investment and operational needs into scalable technology solutions. The position is highly data-driven, requiring strong SQL and Snowflake skills to analyze complex datasets, investigate issues, define business requirements, and partner with engineers to deliver new capabilities. Day-to-day, the Business Analyst will work closely with portfolio managers, investor relations, fundraising, and product teams to solve business problems, improve workflows, support testing and implementation, and ensure technology solutions meet the needs of the growing Alternatives platform.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong SQL for querying, analyzing, validating, and troubleshooting complex datasets
• Snowflake (or similar cloud data platform) experience
• Business Analysis skills, including gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Data Analysis & Problem Solving, including root-cause analysis and data reconciliation
• Financial Services/Investment Management exposure, ideally within asset management or a data-intensive environment
• Stakeholder Management, working directly with portfolio managers, investor relations, fundraising teams, and business users
• Communication Skills to bridge business and technical teams
• Requirements Documentation and workflow/process mapping
• Testing & UAT (User Acceptance Testing) support
• Ability to work closely with software engineers and data engineers throughout the development lifecycle

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
