RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Systems and Integration Engineer for a contract-to-hire role in Houston, Texas.
Summary:
The client is seeking a Senior Systems and Integration Engineer to support a cutting-edge aviation technology program. This is a highly visible, customer-facing engineering role focused on system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and operational support in a complex aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background, hands-on integration and test experience, and the ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and operation of advanced systems. This position requires a self-directed professional who can operate independently while serving as a trusted technical representative.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite engineering support for system integration, testing, and operational activities
* Execute integration and validation efforts across multiple interconnected systems
* Troubleshoot technical issues and drive rapid resolution
* Collect, analyze, and communicate test and operational data
* Coordinate with customers, operations teams, and technical stakeholders
* Support integration between airborne and ground-based systems
* Assist with system deployment, operational readiness, and field support activities
* Ensure successful execution in customer-facing technical environments
* Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve system-level challenges
* Serve as a trusted technical representative with customers and partners
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Strong Systems Engineering background with hands-on technical experience
* Experience with: System integration; Test planning and execution; Troubleshooting complex technical systems; Cross-functional technical coordination
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work in a customer-facing engineering environment
* Proven ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and accountability
* Willingness to work onsite in Houston, Texas
Preferred Qualifications:
* FAA certification, regulatory, or compliance experience
* Aerospace or aviation systems experience
* Radar systems experience
* Experience supporting government, aviation, or highly regulated technical programs
* Experience representing engineering organizations in customer and stakeholder discussions
* Background working with complex operational infrastructure and field-deployed systems
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
