Key Benefits of the Service Engineer: £37,000–£42,000 salary<br />Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm; Friday finish at 3:30pm<br />25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays<br />Company van and fuel card<br />Pension scheme<br />Overtime available at time-and-a-half<br />1-in-4 on-call rota with double pay for on-call work<br />Long-term job security with an established, growing business<br />Genuine opportunities for progression About the Role – Service Engineer As a Service Engineer, you will be based primarily in the workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on generators, pumps and diesel engines.<br />The role also includes occasional attendance at customer breakdowns, giving you a varied split between workshop-based engineering and mobile service work.<br />You will diagnose faults, complete preventative maintenance, carry out repairs and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

You will also participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota, with additional payment for on-call work. About You We are looking for an experienced service engineer with a background in generators, pumps, diesel engines, plant, mechanical engineering or a closely related field. You should have:

Relevant engineering experience<br />Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills<br />Experience working with diesel engines, generators or pumps<br />A full driving licence<br />The ability to work independently and as part of a team<br />A flexible approach to occasional customer breakdown work and on-call duties To be successful in this role, you may have worked as a:

Generator Engineer, Generator Technician, Diesel Engine Engineer, Mechanical Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Pump Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Workshop Engineer.
