Internal Sales Coordinator - Global Manufacturer

Consulo are proud recruitment partners to an established international manufacturer supplying specialist products and engineered solutions to a diverse range of industrial sectors.

Our client is looking to appoint a motivated, organised and customer-focused individual to join its internal sales and customer support team at its Dukinfield facility.

This opportunity would suit someone currently working in Internal Sales, Sales Administration, Sales Support, Customer Service, Customer Account Coordination, Order Processing or a similar commercially focused office-based position in the Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial sectors

You do not necessarily need previous experience selling engineering products. We are particularly interested in individuals who have worked within manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution or other product-led businesses and are comfortable managing customer enquiries, orders and internal systems.

The working environment is friendly, supportive and collaborative, with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service rather than aggressive outbound selling.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing professional and efficient support.

• Prepare and process customer quotations, sales orders and associated documentation.

• Use SAP to maintain accurate customer information, process transactions and monitor orders.

• Liaise with internal departments including Sales, Manufacturing, Operations, Purchasing and Logistics.

• Communicate pricing, product availability, lead times and delivery updates to customers.

• Follow up outstanding quotations and customer enquiries where appropriate.

• Support existing customer accounts, building positive working relationships and ensuring a high standard of service.

• Assist with order amendments, customer queries, invoicing issues and general sales administration.

• Develop an understanding of the company's technical products and their applications through ongoing training.

Essential Requirements

• Previous practical experience using SAP within a commercial, customer service, sales administration, purchasing or order-processing environment.

• Experience in a customer-facing, administrative or sales support position.

• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Confident telephone manner and professional written communication skills.

• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and work effectively with colleagues across different departments.

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable, But Not Essential

• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial distribution or a technical product environment.

• Previous involvement in preparing quotations, processing sales orders or coordinating customer deliveries.

• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems and working alongside production, purchasing or logistics teams.

• An interest in developing knowledge of industrial products and engineering applications.
